Catfish and the Bottlemen have sold out!
Date: 28 Mar 2019
Brit Award-winning Welsh rock outfit Catfish and the Bottlemen will be performing to a sell-out crowd in Coventry, it has been revealed.
The four-piece are set to perform in Ricoh Arena’s Ericsson Indoor Arena on Saturday 4 May 2019, supported by Twin Atlantic, and around 10,000 tickets have been snapped up for their return to the venue which also sold out in late 2016.
Their new album release in April – called The Balance - will be closely followed by a run of live shows across UK and Europe this Spring, which includes Coventry.
Justine Hewitt, Head of Operations at Ricoh Arena, said: “The excitement for this gig has turned up a notch with the news that we will have a full house.
“Catfish And The Bottlemen are one of the best indie rock bands of their time, and we’ve seen strong demand for tickets ever since the gig was announced.
“It is the perfect way to kick off what is going to be a bumper summer of events at Ricoh Arena.
“By the end of June we will have hosted Catfish And The Bottlemen, The Spice Girls twice, the Soundscape Festival with David Guetta headlining, Bon Jovi, as well as Monster Jam for the first time ever.”
One of Catfish And The Bottlemen’s biggest singles, Kathleen, was ranked number one on MTV’s hottest tracks in April 2014 during the group’s prominent rise before their second album, The Ride, went to number one in the Official UK Album Charts in 2016.
Their most-recent single, Longshot, was released at the start of 2019 from the band’s upcoming third studio album – the first piece of new material from the group for more than three years.
In a bid to tackle ticket touting, the lead booker of each ticket transaction must attend the concert with their ID in order to gain entry.
The concert is for over 14s only, while under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
