A leading engineering show will return to a Coventry venue this year, with cutting edge innovations and expert speakers set to feature.
The Engineering Design Show is back at Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday October 11 and Thursday October, 12.
The event attracts over 4,000 design engineering professionals from across the UK and is the country’s only show dedicated to mechanical, electronics, and embedded design.
The show has been held at the Coventry Building Society Arena since its launch in 2012, and will include a series of free workshops, conferences and exhibitors showcasing to visitors the latest technologies, materials, tools, software and services.
It is a popular event in the industry’s calendar and this year’s eleventh edition has already seen a nearly 40 per cent increase in attendee and vendor registrations.
Over 200 global suppliers will feature in this year’s show, with highlights including a dedicated robotics zone, alongside an interactive VR display from Nottingham Trent University.
The two-day event is sponsored by Powell Electronics, Würth Elektronik and Solid State Supplies – with Dassault Systèmes sponsoring a new networking lounge for visitors to use.
The show features a range of talks and workshops, curated by The Engineer, New Electronics and Eureka, with over 30 hours of expert insight into key industry topics including artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
Simon Bonell, Event Director for the Engineering Design Show, said: “The event offers a brilliant opportunity for design engineers to both network with their peers and be inspired by new innovations in our fast-moving industry.
“We are proud to be the UK’s biggest event focusing on engineering, electronics, and embedded design, showcasing the best products, speakers, and suppliers.
“This year’s event features an exciting line up of suppliers and speakers, exploring everything from new applications of artificial intelligence to smart sensors and current trends and technologies shaping our industry and the wider world.
“This will be our eleventh year working with Coventry Building Society Arena, and their support has enabled us to grow the show significantly since our first event in 2012.”
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, added: “It is wonderful to continue to support the Engineering Design Show on the back of a successful 10th show last year.
“The opening of our Commonwealth Convention Centre has increased the exhibition space on offer and enables us to continue providing high quality facilities and services, while also supporting a host of events, exhibitions and conferences each year.
“We are proud to be working alongside the Engineering Design Show and are excited to once again welcome professionals from across the UK’s design engineering industry to Coventry Building Society Arena.”
