A new event for the logistics and supply chain industry which is almost a sell-out at the Ricoh Arena has attracted high-profile exhibitors.

IntraLogisteX will be staged in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall on Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26 with 85 per cent of space having already been sold.

Seventy exhibitors have secured their places including FedEx and DPS International while high-street names such as Aldi, Argos, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer are confirmed visitors.

Around 1,000 visitors are expected to attend the free two-day show which will also incorporate the first UK IntraLogisteX Awards ceremony on March 25 to recognise great products and services from the sector.

Dan Stone, of IntraLogisteX, said as well as UK exhibitors, there were companies travelling from the USA, Belgium and the Czech Republic to take part.

“For the last 12 years we have run logistics exhibitions three times a year in different locations across England but the feed-back from visitors and exhibitors was that it would be more useful to have one bigger show in a central location,” he said.

“We chose the Ricoh Arena because we wanted a venue which was easily accessible and within an easy commute.

“The show is targeted at various aspects of the industry ranging from warehouse and logistics to distribution and transportation and the response has been fantastic.

“We have had significant interest from senior buying teams such as supply chain directors and heads of global procurement so the signs are positive that are our brand new show is going to be a success.

“We are really pleased to have nearly sold out the exhibition space and hosting the event at the Ricoh Arena has also given us the chance to hold the first IntraLogisteX Awards to give recognition to people working in a variety of fields such as storage, packaging and IT and software.

“It will be a chance for companies throughout the logistics and supply chain industry to showcase their innovative products while visitors can also watch demonstrations and attend seminars.

“We are really excited about this new show and we hope everyone who attends will feel the same.”

Angela Perkins, head of sales at the Ricoh Arena, said it was always great to welcome new shows to the venue.

She said: “IntraLogisteX will be a comprehensive show for the logistics and supply chain sector and it is perfect for finding out about state-of-the-art technology as well as hearing presentations from leading personnel.

“To have virtually sold-out the exhibition space a month before the show is taking place underlines the demand from those involved in the industry.

“Our central location which is a two-hour drive for 75 per cent of England’s population plus our flexible facilities are a real winner with organisers hosting a wide variety of events.”
