BACK AT THE RICOH FOR A FOURTH TIME

The UK’s only trade show dedicated to the blind and shutter industry returns to the Ricoh Arena next year following an award-winning appearance in 2012.

The British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) hosts its industry event every two to three years and will be back at the Ricoh Arena for a fourth time in 2015 after the 2012 edition was named Exhibition of the Year by the Trade Association Forum.

The British Blind & Shutter Show 2015 will run in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall from Sunday, October 4 to Tuesday, October 6 and is expected to attract around 70 exhibitors and 3,000 visitors from the UK and further afield.

The event is already 92 per cent full and Juliet Talbot, events co-ordinator at the BBSA, is looking forward to building on the success of the previous event.

“This will be our fourth Showcase at the Ricoh Arena and it is growing every time,” Juliet said.

“We have exhibitors coming from all corners of the UK as well as other parts of the globe such as the USA, Spain, Italy and Germany.

“It will be the biggest UK Showcase we have staged yet and will include prizes for the best stand, product innovation and child safety, which is a very important topic in the industry.

“The Ricoh Arena has been a great venue for us. It is in a convenient location, being quite central, and we have staged the previous three showcases there, which really helps to strengthen the attraction of the event.”

Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, believes the exhibition’s success demonstrates the venue’s ability to execute a wide range of requirements.

He said: “It is fantastic that The British Blind & Shutter Show is returning to the Ricoh Arena once again after extending what has been a really successful partnership.

“We were delighted to hear that the 2012 event was recognised by the Trade Association Forum and it is testament to all the hard work that goes into organising and delivering such an event.”
