Reports to: Senior Marketing Assistant

Working Pattern: 17.5 hours per week Monday - Friday (Part Time)

Overview

We’re excited to introduce a Graphic Designer position into our marketing department at the Coventry Building Society Arena. We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic creative professional to join our team and make an impact.

Working alongside the Senior Marketing Assistant and Director of Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will develop strong working relationships with the sales and events teams and fellow employees. They must understand the importance of good working practices and have the experience and personality to demonstrate the value that graphic design brings to a business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams and external design partners to define design goals and project scope.

  • Come up with creative ideas and produce visual concepts to meet project briefs.

  • Develop designs for various media such as websites, social media, adverts, and presentations.

  • Develop designs for brochures and flyers for promotional material.

  • Use design software e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop etc to create high quality visuals.

  • Ensure designs align with our brand identity and style guidelines.

  • Maintain consistency in colours, fonts and over all aesthetic across projects.

  • Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.

  • Communicate progress and seek feedback from your line manager.

  • Incorporate feedback to refine designs.

  • Adapt designs for various formats as required.

  • Stay updated with design trends, tools and best practice.

Person Specification:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong portfolio showcasing diverse design work.

  • Passion and enthusiasm for design with a creative flair.

  • A flexible approach when working in a team.

  • The ability to create and manage good working relationships with colleagues and clients.

  • Excellent communication skills to interpret and negotiate briefs with your line manager.

  • Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to your line manager. colleagues.

  • A love and passion for creative & design. This could spread across multiple mediums such as art, fashion, photography or video.

Skills and qualifications

  • Proficient in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc).

  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as a Graphic Designer or similar role.

  • Ability to create visually appealing and consistent brand experiences.

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and take constructive feedback.

Desired but not essential:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects.

  • Experience with photography and photo editing software.

  • Ability to produce animations for campaigns and digital platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of web design tools.
