Coventry Building Society Arena is preparing to welcome around 7,500 fans to see Bryan Adams perform live in Coventry for the first time in nearly two decades.

Bryan Adams will take to the stage in the Indoor Arena at the venue on Friday 17 May for what will be his first performance in the city since he headlined the venue back in 2005.

Paul Michael, Managing Director of Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “This is the biggest live music event we have hosted in our Indoor Arena for a few years and we’re looking forward to a fantastic night of entertainment at Coventry Building Society Arena.

“Bryan Adams played the first ever live concert at the venue and it’s a pleasure to be welcoming him back as we approach the venue’s 20th birthday.”

Coventry Building Society Arena has shared details on everything that fans need to know before attending the concert.

What time should fans arrive?

Fans are being encouraged to arrive at Coventry Building Society Arena early.

Doors open at 7pm and fans are encouraged to arrive for opening time.

Stage times are still to be confirmed. There will be no support act on the evening.

Fans are asked to ensure they have their tickets ready on arrival to be scanned.

Are there any age restrictions?

The Bryan Adams concert is a 14-plus event. Young people aged 14 to 18 are only permitted when accompanied by an adult.

What food and drink will be available?

A wide range of food and drink will be available in the atrium at Coventry Building Society Arena.

Bars will be open in The Dhillon’s Lounge and The Mill for guests, with food also available in the atrium outside the indoor arena.

There will also be mobile drink dispensers inside the indoor arena during the event.

How to get to Coventry Building Society Arena

Car Parking

Parking is available at the Arena for the event.

Coventry Building Society Arena operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system. Pre-booking parking is essential and should be booked in advance from www.cbsarena.co.uk

There is strictly no parking in Tesco at Arena Park for the event, with residential parking restrictions also in place.

Shuttle bus service

A shuttle bus service will be in operation to and from Coventry Building Society Arena. Operating between Coventry train station and Judds Lane, adjacent to Car Park A at the stadium (North of the Arena). Shuttle buses will be running before the event from 5.30pm and restart after the event at 10pm.

The price of the shuttle bus is £3 One way.

Rail

Trains will be operating from Coventry Arena station in both directions between Coventry and Nuneaton. Train times are available from www.westmidlandsrailway.co.uk

What can’t fans bring to the concert?

  • Alcohol and food – there will be a range of drink and food outlets open at the venue for fans to enjoy

  • Professional cameras or cameras with detachable lenses – however, photos can be taken on mobile phones to remember the night

  • Audio or recording equipment, tablets or computers

  • Folding chairs or seats

Can visitors bring a bag and is a cloakroom available?

Bags are discouraged to speed up entry, however bags are permitted but any bag larger than A4 size will not be admitted to the venue.

The Arena will be operating a cloakroom facility on the evening.

Where is the ticket office?

All tickets have been emailed to ticketholders ahead of the event. If there are any issues on the evening, visit the box office at the North Entrance by Gate A.
