English rugby icon Sir Clive Woodward will visit Coventry’s Ricoh Arena

English rugby icon Sir Clive Woodward will visit Coventry’s Ricoh Arena to deliver a keynote speech at a new event aimed at boosting the careers of sales professionals.

The National Sales Academy 2018, a training and motivational event for people in the sales industry, will be held at the Ricoh Arena on November 28.

The event is organised by The National Sales Academy, with the 2003 World Cup winning coach set to give an hour-long talk offering up his advice on how people working in the industry can learn from the world of sport.

He will be joined by a host of top sales trainers and thought-leaders who will all share their wealth of knowledge and skills.

Caroline Lissaman, Head of Events at Ricoh Arena, said: “The National Sales Academy is an event we are proud to host and we are looking forward to welcoming sales professionals from across the country through our doors for a day which is sure to boost their career development.

“To also be welcoming a rugby legend in Sir Clive Woodward is an honour and we are sure he will give an enlightening and inspirational talk to those in attendance.”

Sir Clive’s talk will focus on the three characteristics that he believes true champions need to demonstrate in both sport and sales in order, using examples from his career in business, rugby, and the Olympics.

The event is Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited, with those who go along receiving a certificate of attendance, as well as a full day of motivational speaking.

Other talks on the day come from the award-winning speaker Richard Newman and bestselling author Justin Cohen.

Steve Lindsey, of the National Sales Academy, said: “The National Sales Academy has been formed in response to feedback from the National Sales Conference, which is the UK’s only independent sales conference and regularly draws in huge crowds.

“This event provides insight, new techniques, easy to apply take-away tips and much more all with the purpose of improving the performance of sales professionals.

“To have Sir Clive Woodward closing the event is a real coup, he brings something different to the table that is sure to stay with people for a long time.”
