Sean Paul Live In Concert: Over 6,500 Fans Celebrate a Night of Dancehall Hits at Coventry Building Society Arena

Sean Paul made a triumphant return to Coventry as thousands of fans danced their way through the night in a huge party at Coventry Building Society Arena.

More than 6,500 fans headed to the Indoor Arena at the venue to get the chance to hear and dance to the hits from the reggae and dancehall mega star’s glittering 30-year career.

From Temperature, No Lie and Breathe, to Get Busy, She Doesn’t Mind and Gimme the Light, fans had the chance to hear some of the biggest hits since he gained international fame in the early 2000s.

Fans also enjoyed a live DJ set to get them ready for the headline act.

The performance was somewhat of a homecoming for the superstar who has strong ties to Coventry and Warwickshire, with his grandmother born in Coventry and still having extended family in Rugby.

It was the third major event in Coventry Building Society Arena’s live events programme this summer, following on from performances from Bryan Adams and Sri Lankan music festival Summer Punch.

The show was presented by Geestar Empire and marked Sean Paul’s second performance at the venue, with his last show being in 2018.

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We’ve had a huge spring of live entertainment and what better way to bring us into summer than Sean Paul.

“His iconic songs have been the soundtrack to millions of people’s summer for more than 20 years.

“We have a proud history of welcoming some of the biggest stars in entertainment and Sean definitely fitted that bill. It was another incredible night of live entertainment at Coventry Building Society Arena.”
