Christmas party bookings surge as summer comes to a close
The coolest summer in almost a decade has seen a leading Midlands experience a surge in bookings for its Christmas parties.
Coventry Building Society Arena welcomes thousands of people every year to celebrate Christmas with family, friends and colleagues on Friday and Saturday nights in November and December.
‘The Big Christmas Party Nights’ will take over six evenings at the premier event venue in Coventry and one of the nights have already sold out.
The venue has seen a rush of early bookings as businesses look to lock in their festive celebration plans for 2024.
More than 1,800 revellers are expected to celebrate at Coventry Building Society Arena in what will be the biggest Christmas party events in Coventry.
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We have had a pretty miserable summer temperature-wise, and I think that people have written off any hopes of a late burst of sunshine and have turned their thoughts to the rest of the year and want something to look forward to!
“Since the middle of August, we have seen interest grow exponentially in booking Christmas parties, and while that is always the case as people return from their summer holidays, it is a stronger trend than normal.”
The Met Office recently revealed that the summer of 2024 has been the coolest since 2015, with an average temperature of 14.4c, while several summer festivals were battered by storms.
Jenni added: “Over the years we have established ourselves as a destination of choice in Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands for Christmas parties.
“Some people will know us for sport and music, other for conferences and exhibitions, but for many it’s Christmas parties and a visit to Coventry Building Society Arena has become an annual occasion.
“It’s a really important period for our venue too and we’re looking forward to welcoming familiar faces and plenty of new ones too this Christmas.”
This year’s party nights will be held on 29 November, 30 November, 6 December, 7 December, 13 December and 14 December.
Each evening will include a drinks reception, three-course dinner, live entertainment, live band, after dinner DJ and disco, fairground rides and car parking at the venue.
Guests at Christmas parties can continue the party into the early hours at the on-site Grosvenor Casino and book to stay at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel at the venue.
