The National Painting and Decorating Show to celebrate 20th year at Coventry Building Society Arena
The biggest trade show for painting and decorating professionals across the UK is set to celebrate 20 years at a leading Coventry venue.
The National Painting and Decorating Show was one of the first shows held at Coventry Building Society Arena when it opened its doors in 2005.
It will mark two decades at the leading conference, event and exhibition venue when it returns on Tuesday, November 19 and Wednesday, November 20.
The show has continued on an upward growth trajectory throughout that period and is set to welcome 10 per cent more exhibitors this year, with more than 3,000 visitors expected to attend.
The National Painting and Decorating Show, which also celebrates its 30th birthday this year, will feature more than 100 leading international manufacturers representing thousands of brands, with Dulux, Crown, Wickes and Brewers among the exhibitors.
Terry Dullaway, event organiser and founder of the National Painting and Decorating Show, said: “It’s a double celebration for our event this year and we continue to be the national event of choice for everyone involved in the sector.
“The core of the event has remained the same and that is why we have been able to build up a community of people who visit every year. We have been the launchpad for innovations in the sector and businesses have seen this as the perfect place to highlight their new products.
“We moved to Coventry Building Society Arena when it opened back in 2005 and 20 years on it’s clear that was the right decision. It’s a great venue for us. The centralised location makes it easy for visitors and exhibitors to reach and it’s a user-friendly venue too.”
Exhibitors utilise the two-day event to launch new products, offering opportunities to see products in action through live demonstrations.
The event will also feature a full programme of spotlight presentations which comprise of masterclasses, workshops and seminars on innovation and techniques.
Sessions are run by leading suppliers and businesses in the sector who will also share advice on how painting and decorating professionals can grow and develop their business.
Terry added: “We’re set to welcome all of the major suppliers and stockists. The timing of the show is perfect to introduce a product, as it can then be used by a stockist in the spring.
“We have seen significant growth in the international market over recent years. We are welcoming exporters from all over Europe as they look to tap into the thriving market here in the UK.
“There continues to be a trend towards sustainable products and that’s where a lot of product development is going.”
Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “The National Painting and Decorating Show has been one of our flagship trade shows for the last 20 years.
“We have a fantastic relationship with the show organisers and have supported its growth over the last two decades. It continues to go from strength to strength and we are proud to continue to host this important trade event.”
