Coventry Building Society Arena Expands Live Entertainment with Back-to-Back Sellouts

Thousands of fans headed to events at Coventry Building Society Arena for four sold-out nights of live entertainment.

More than 9,000 people attended a series of sold-out events at the venue as its continued to expand its live events portfolio.

Comedian Paul Smith pulled in a collective audience of 8,000 people for two back-to-back nights hosted in the indoor arena, which was transformed into a premier venue for live comedy.

The venue also saw two sold-out shows in its auditorium, with Luke Combs UK and Taylor Swift tribute show Taylor Fever bringing in a combined 1,000 fans.

The sell out events marked a successful first anniversary of CBS Live, which was launched by Coventry Building Society Arena to highlight its range of entertainment venues and bring more live events to the venue.

CBS Live comprises four unique entertainment venues under one roof, the stadium bowl, indoor arena, the hall and the auditorium.

Legendary rocker Bryan Adams and reggae star Sean Paul are just some of the household names from music to have performed at the Arena since CBS Live launched.

The volume of tickets sold for this latest quartet of shows demonstrated the venue’s popularity while the diversity of performances, across comedy and music, underlined the arena’s flexibility as a live events space.

And the show goes on, with the team at Coventry Building Society Arena working hard behind the scenes to expand the venue’s live event portfolio and deliver another packed programme of entertainment in 2025.

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “Having two sold out nights of live comedy quickly followed by contrasting musical tribute acts really does highlight the diverse range of our live events schedule, and its popularity.

“Our live event portfolio is growing all the time and is a very important strand to our wider commercial strategy and plans for business growth.

“Being able to accommodate different types of live entertainment, in addition to the many trade shows, exhibitions and conferences we host, sets Coventry Building Society Arena apart as a flexible friend to promoters in all walks of life.

“We expect to bring even more big-name acts to the venue during what is shaping up to be an incredibly busy and exciting 2025 - so watch this space!”

Paul Smith is set to return to Coventry Building Society Arena for two additional shows in May. He will be performing on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 and tickets are now on sale.
