Supporting Families and Professionals: Inside Kidz to Adultz Middle 2025 at Coventry Building Society Arena

A podcast which provides advice and support for parents of people with disabilities featuring a former Britain’s Got Talent winner will be recorded live as a part of a major exhibition in Coventry.

Lee Ridley, winner of Britain’s Got Talent as Lost Voice Guy, will join Rachel Wright, of Born at the Right Time, for a live recording of ‘The Skies We’re Under’ podcast as part of Kidz to Adultz Middle.

The exhibition will be hosted at Coventry Building Society Arena on Thursday 13 March and is set to host more than 100 specialist exhibitors and welcome 2,000 visitors.

Kidz to Adultz Middle showcases equipment and services for children and young people with additional needs, their families, carers and the professionals who support them.

It provides a hands-on opportunity to test equipment and connect to services which can help with education, transition, legal matters, funding and more.

This year the exhibition has introduced a new InclusiTech area which is dedicated to gaming and assistive technology, with experts showcasing the latest devices and offering the opportunity for visitors to try their favourite games.

It will also see the return for a second year of the popular Connection Hub, which provides a dedicated area for visitors to connect with other visitors who are dealing with similar challenges, share experiences, and insights and build a supportive network.

The exhibition has also partnered with Contact, a charity for families with disabled children, to offer free advice and support in the Connection Hub for families with disabled children

Exhibitors will be providing expert advice and guidance on topics including mobility, funding, seating, beds, communication, continence, sensory, transition, education, housing, employment, accessible vehicles, transport, style, sports, leisure and more.

A comprehensive free programme of CPD accredited seminars for professionals and parents will be held at the exhibition, covering topics including: Understanding Autism and Neurodivergence, Supporting the mental health of individuals with complex communication needs, Education & Healthcare Plans, Troubles with Toilet Training and more.

Kidz to Adultz Middle is organised by charity Disabled Living.

Carmel Hourigan, Senior Manager of the Kidz to Adultz team at Disabled Living, said: “We are always looking for new ways to innovate and grow our event and hosting a live recording of The Skies We’re Under is a great addition to our event programme.

“Kidz to Adultz prides itself on being inclusive and providing the support visitors need to support their journey, whether that is a parent, carer or a professional. This is achieved through a comprehensive exhibition and strong seminar programme, ensuring that visitors can get all the information they need by visiting us.

“The Connection Hub launched at last year’s show and was a great success, we’re pleased to bringing it back again this year and providing a safe space for visitors to make important connections and share their experiences with people who may be in similar situations”

Kidz to Adultz Middle has been held annually at Coventry Building Society Arena since 2009.

Jenni Ford, Director of Sales and Marketing at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “We have been proud hosts of Kidz to Adultz for the last 16 years and this is an event which has a lasting positive impact on its visitors, supporting the lives of young people and their families across the Midlands.”

Kids to Adultz Middle will be held in the Exhibition Halls at Coventry Building Society Arena from 9.30am to 4pm on Thursday 13 March.

It is an inclusive event and free to attend, with all family members, children, carers and healthcare professionals invited to visit. For more information visit https://www.kidzexhibitions.co.uk/kidz-middle/
