EBME Expo 2024 to showcase medical technology at Coventry building society Arena
A major event for innovations in medical equipment technology, maintenance and training is expanding at a leading Midlands conference and exhibition venue.
The EBME (Electronic and Biomedical Equipment) Expo is set to attract more than 1,400 people and over 150 exhibitors when it is held at Coventry Building Society Arena on Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27.
The conference and exhibition has shown significant growth since 2009 and was first held at the venue last year, with increased demand from exhibitors and delegates.
Its expansion means that the 2024 showing will be its biggest event to date, offering three conference areas covering electronic and biomedical equipment (EBME), operating theatres, and training and procurement.
An independent healthcare exhibition showcasing the latest technologies, services and training will run alongside the comprehensive conference programme. The exhibition also includes break out areas for exhibitors to provide technical demonstrations.
The conference programme will feature 18 speaker sessions each day and highlight how technology can deliver improved patient outcomes at a lower cost.
Dr John Sandham is the Founder of the event and will chair the EBME section of the conference. He said: “This larger venue has enabled us to expand and keep up with demand from both exhibitors and delegates.
“We started the event in 2009 as a way of improving healthcare through the sharing and application of knowledge from experienced professionals involved in the use, maintenance, and management of healthcare technology.
“When I speak to my professional colleagues at the annual EBME Expo – they always tell me that it is the best healthcare technology event that they attend.
“That is the way I feel about it too. We have so many excellent speakers, workshops, and exhibitors that it is the ‘must attend’ healthcare technology event of the year.
“The aim of the event is to share knowledge and improve awareness, thereby assisting healthcare organisations to become safer and more efficient.”
The EBME Expo is run in partnership with BtoB Events.
